Refund Policy
Clear, honest terms for refunds and cancellations.

1. One-time journal purchases
When you purchase a journal (e.g., Heartbreak, Grief, Anxiety), you are buying access to a 30-day guided journaling programme — a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase.
Because access begins as soon as payment is confirmed, your statutory right of withdrawal under UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive is waived once the content delivery has commenced (as you acknowledge at checkout).
Our standard policy: Refunds are not offered once you have accessed the journal (i.e., once Day 1 has been generated or you have viewed the content).
7-day window before use: If you purchased a journal but have not yet started it (Day 1 not yet generated, content not accessed), you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting us at hello@aletheialattice.com.
2. Subscriptions
Subscriptions (Companion, Continuity) are billed monthly.
- Cancellation: You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
- No partial refunds: We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time within a billing period.
- Renewal notice: Monthly subscriptions renew automatically. You will receive an email reminder before each renewal.
- Failed payments: If a payment fails, your subscription is paused. We send a notification email with a link to update your payment method.
3. When we make exceptions
We consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis and will issue refunds in the following circumstances:
- Technical failure: If a technical error on our side prevented you from accessing the content you paid for, and we cannot resolve it within 48 hours, you are entitled to a full refund.
- Duplicate charge: If you were charged twice for the same product, we will immediately refund the duplicate charge.
- Accidental purchase: If you purchased by mistake and have not accessed any content, contact us within 24 hours and we will refund you.
- Significant misrepresentation: If the product was substantially different from its description, contact us and we will assess the situation fairly.
We want Aletheia Lattice to be a service people trust. If something went wrong, reach out — we will always respond with fairness.
4. How to request a refund
Email hello@aletheialattice.com with:
- Subject line: “Refund Request”
- The email address associated with your account
- The product you are requesting a refund for
- The reason for your request
We respond to all refund requests within 3 business days.
5. Processing time
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. Depending on your payment method and bank, the funds may take an additional 3–10 days to appear in your account.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.
